I've been revisiting material from my Phd thesis this week in preparation for a couple of upcoming conferences. The exercise has reminded me of two important things I had begun to forget since submitting the thing two years ago:
how very interesting I find Australian colonial history and historiography; and
how difficult it is to use words to order thoughts and pin down ideas.
